The Tales of little Mermaid

This piece is one of the oldest here on the site, created on April 10, 2010

The incredible title for this piece was initially "Improvisation on a Pop Theme in D Major". You can see that I was still very inspired by the filming for my online piano school and such titles were quite normal there. It would also have Exercise No. 27 can be called.

Back then I recorded it with a new synthesizer, the Omnisphere from Spectrasonic, which is still one of my favorites today.

The layer sound is called "Dream GlockPiano" and the original description for it:

"Classic sounding layer of a piano and a Glockenspiel. The Glockenspielappears from around F # 3 to the top of the keyboard range. Both instruments were recorded in a church in Gothemburg, Sweden. The microphones were placed very far away, so that the recordings are extremely ambient. "

This is how it looks and I was completely blown away by the sound. Very inspiring.

In 2013 I took up the piece again because Julia thought the piece was so beautiful and we then made a new intro, so you can hear Julia play the original.

Here is a new arrangement from this year, but I'm looking for the old files and sheet music again and posting them here, that's too nice ...
