Johann Pachelbel's famous Canon in D is the basis for many pop pieces from the past 50 years. I once tried to incorporate the cover version of the PetShopBoys into the original, who in turn took over the piece from the Village People under the name Go West.
In addition to the original version in D, there is also an easy piano version of the piece in C major.
